How to capitalise on knowledge

Very early on, Euranova established a knowledge base. This knowledge base consists of a collaborative indexing and structuring tool of all knowledge sources used within Euranova and of the projects led by individuals involved in Euranova.

This knowledge base is composed of a personal space for each user where he/she can take the time to import those sources which he/she would like to index. In this space, the source can be commented upon, linked to other relevant sources, as well as tagged. Once this preparatory work is undertaken, the individual posts his/her content onto the public platform space reserved for the sector related to those sources.

As such, any other person interested in this sector will see the result of this work appear, and can themselves use it in the consolidation of their own project.

Similarly, discussions relating to any particular subject may be initiated within the platform. Any person participating in the discussion is notified by email of new arguments which are presented. Each argument may be substantiated by linking it to sources in the knowledge base, so as every individual may construct a solid framework for their personal knowledge acquisition.

Linking of individual knowledge sources, in addition to the emulation generated by the interactive side (each domain may also be followed by RSS feed or simple email), leads to the creation of a constant activity around this knowledge base.

The knowledge base is accessible primarily to Euranova employees, but is also made available on an ad hoc basis to the Euranova network, upon specific request by individuals on particular subjects.
